"Medieval Jousting is one of our most popular shows. Historically correct and performed with the flair and abundance of Stunts that audiences have come to expect from our shows. A mixture of lust and blood curdling action, a spectacle, "not for the faint hearted" - see our dashing hero, Harry Hotspur, battle with the villainous Black Knight for the hand of a fair maiden. Experience the din and clatter of medieval warfare as our team of feudal knights, squires and damsels knock 'seven bells' out of each other for your personal entertainment at the Quintain or in 'deadly combat'.

The group and their horses have appeared on TV in Game of Thrones, Dickensian, War & Peace, Dr. Who and many more. We think you will enjoy this display!

Cleveland Show is proudly sponsored by Askham Bryan College

The Cleveland Show will be back this year, bigger and better than ever before, on Saturday, July 23rd at Stewart Park, Middlesbrough.

This year the Show is delighted to announce a new main sponsorship deal with Askham Bryan College, who are now responsible for the day to day management and running of the Bolckow Centre incorporating the Central Lodge, Café, Walled and Kitchen Gardens and the Animal Enclosures at Stewart Park.

For the last 5 years the Show has enjoyed main sponsorship from Middlesbrough College but that agreement ended last year and Show Director Barrie Robinson is delighted that Askham Bryan College have stepped into the breach, 'We are very pleased to be able to announce the alignment and partnership with Askham Bryan College, the largest land based college in England and a perfect partner for the Show. The Show is entirely self-funding and operates not for profit, so any money that we do make is reinvested directly back into next year's Show.

'The cost of putting the Show together involves up-front payments of around £60,000 and this is obviously made before Show day, when we take most of our money. I am really proud that we keep delivering a bigger and better show than the year before and it's only because of our sponsors that we are able to facilitate this. Middlesbrough College supported us brilliantly over the last few years and we will always have a great relationship with the college but it feels right that we are now partnered by Askham Bryan College. Hopefully the Show will expose the College to in excess of 20,000 members of the public and the Show can benefit from tapping into one of the best land-based college resources in the North, realising my aim of delivering a bigger and better Show year on year.'

The Show is pleased to announce we have also gained sponsorship from RMB Toyota and Lexus Teesside who are sponsoring the Horticulture and small livestock sections.  The free Children's Fun Zone is also back provided courtesy of Parkway Day Nursery and features children's entertainer Tom Rolfe and Jo Jingles interactive musical entertainment.

We are proud to once again have the loan of an organ from the http://www.scarboroughfaircollection/(Opens in a new window),  The Accordion Castle, an automatic playing instrument using  21st century technology by Tony Decap, based in Herentals, Belgium.  This computer controlled instrument can play any kind of music you programme it to play, in real time, with the instrument actually playing the music you hear. Each note can be seen to be playing by the flash of an LED light built into every musical outlet, including the drumsticks.

This instrument will be situated adjacent to the Vintage Section and will be playing throughout the day.

The Country Comes to Town again on Saturday, July 23rd at Stewart Park, Middlesbrough and it appears that the Cleveland Show goes from strength to strength.
